The Harper Apron is the newest member of our popular Harper Series. All the functionality of our classic Harper Tunic, but with a second pocket and designed for layering. Modeled after popover aprons popular in the mid-20th century, this piece will truly protect your garments underneath from mess. Pull on over the head; low, deep-cut armholes provide plenty of room for layers and movement. Full body panels provide complete coverage from whatever exciting project you're undertaking, and two large, separate pockets store everything you need.

In the kitchen, working in the garden, photographing a wedding, painting your house, taking care of kiddos—do it all in the Harper Apron. The best thing about this piece is that it's not immediately recognizable as an apron, so you can wear it simply as a garment. If you're like me and wish you could just be wearing an apron all the time, this style will prove incredibly useful and comfortable. Especially smart-looking if you wear it layered over a monochromatic turtleneck or slim T-shirt and straight-leg trousers.

Material & Care: Midweight Linen

100% Linen, Oeko-Tex certified. Medium weight, sturdy broadcloth that can be pressed to a neat, crisp finish or left wrinkled after washing for a perfectly lived-in look. Linen possesses natural strength and durability, and it's a super friendly fiber on the environment. It requires very little processing, and is hypoallergenic, comfortable in all seasons, insulating, and absorbent.

Linen is a natural fiber made from cellulose fiber inside the stalks of the flax plant. It is a complete product of nature, and can vary drastically in color and texture based on the growing conditions of the season. Variations in base color and texture are not uncommon.

Natural imperfections in weave are also to be expected and embraced--slubs, nubs, and occasional bits of organic matter are common in linen. If you are looking for the homogeny and perfection of a synthetic fiber or a finely woven cotton you will not find it in linen.

Wash on gentle cycle with cold water. Tumble dry warm. Leave unpressed for a beautifully rumpled look or press on medium heat with steam to remove wrinkles.

Linen is a natural fiber and is expected to wear and fade over time, which we love.
