My absolute favorite item of clothing right now: The Studio Jacket. I designed this piece to be my ultimate companion during the fall and winter—a garment that provides enough warmth and coverage to wear outdoors, but isn't so heavy or bulky that I can't wear it inside as well. It occupies that perfect middle ground in between cardigan and coat.
Dropped shoulders, sleeves that can be cuffed at just the right spot for you, a fold-over lapel that can also be pinned shut if you'd rather be bundled up, and two satisfyingly rounded patch pockets on the front for warming hands or storing phones and keys. *Jacket pin sold separately, launching soon.
Simple construction allows the easy and elegant silhouette and gorgeous material (expand the "Fabric & Care" tab above to read all about the Climate Beneficial Wool it's made from) to shine. This jacket has purled edges which means the raw material is encased in thread to finish it—a tidy finish that provides delightful delicate contrast, and will also patina with age; expect some subtle wear along the edges, but nothing that will threaten the integrity of the garment. All seams are topstitched down, a minor construction point that has major impact—it prevents the awkward buckling and inward folding that so often happens along seams with thick woolens.
All in all, a true throw-on-and-go-piece, and the one I've been wearing in the studio all winter, true to its name.
