A reboot of another favorite ES silhouette: the Louise made its first appearance in 2014. Inspired by the continuous, rounded forms of the Louise Bourgeois sculptures Cumul 1 and Clamart and Eva Hesse's Repetition Nineteen III, the funnel neck is a seamless extension of the body. The sleeveless cut hits right at the shoulder bone and drops straight down, creating a beautiful, clean line that suggests determined, upright shoulders. Organic, bias-cut, rolled edges trim all of the openings—a finish that honors the nature of the material and harmonizes perfectly with the story behind the garment. 100% organic, low-impact dyed cotton in a lightweight microrib knit that is perfect for layering or wearing alone. This delicate fabric is effortlessly sleek and breatheable. Much lighter in weight than our previous heavyweight rib, but just as soft and suited to everyday wear.
Made in Florence, Alabama by Alabama Chanin—true experts in cut-and-sew knitwear—in an airy, organic cotton dyed with low impact, cold process, environmentally friendly dyes.
Wash on cold, delicate cycle, and tumble dry low. Cotton is a natural fiber and is expected to wear and fade over time, which we love.
